Amelie – An Outdoor Screening at Cobden Chambers

Bees Make Honey are proud to announce our second outdoor cinema adventure in The Courtyard at Cobden Chambers in association with Scalarama Open Programme.

After the success of Breakin 2 – Electric Boogaloo (a collaboration with Kneel Before Zod & Screen 22), we’ve gone all out on this little number. We are screening the much beloved French classic Amelie, and in honour of Ms Poulain we are making a big tres French evening of it.

There will be a continental cafe bar with Damn Fine Coffee (Nottingham’s newest gem in the market of caffeinated dreams, George roasts his own beans, dontcha know), live music from a couple of talented DJs with a collection of unusual French music, and to top it off you can also choose to sample two of my favourite things – wine and cheese.

French wine tasting will start shortly after 7pm hosted by local sommelier, Simon Franklin, plus you can sample a range of French cheeses (with baguettes of course) from The Cheese Shop.

Then at 9pm, once you are well-wined, we will screen a truly lovely film full of shy whimsy and romance. If you’ve never seen it, you’re in for a treat.

Standard ticket (including first drink of house wine, beer, soft or coffee) £8.50

Full Package (including wine & cheese tasting) £30

Advance tickets available online from here (16p booking fee) – bees make honey shop

Or you can pick them up in Cavology at Cobden Chambers, Pelham Street, Nottingham, NG1 2ED (hidden up an alleyway next to the Bodega Social Club). Open Tues-Sat 11-6 or Sun 11-4.
